Aberrant Loadout
Build the Aberrant around speed, reach, damage, Falter and your preferred combat style.
Aberrant Loadout
You are not choosing one permanent weapon. You configure the Aberrant from three slots: a Primary Form, a Secondary Form and a Combo Finisher.
Dylan fights with the Aberrant, a single weapon you configure in three slots.
Your regular melee combo.
A second attack role for reach, impact or sustained pressure.
The move that closes your Primary attack sequence.
Each slot is equipped separately, so any Primary can be paired with any Secondary and any Combo Finisher.
The melee combo you use most. Choose the one that matches how you like to fight.
A fast attack with a high Critical Chance.
A wide attack that can hit multiple enemies at once and push them away.
A balanced attack that does extra Damage when performed from the back.
A second attack role. Choose the one that fixes what your Primary cannot do.
A long range attack that may hit multiple enemies. Charge for Falter and extra Damage – a perfect charge deals more.
Your Primary lacks reach?
A quick attack. Charge to continuously drill the target. Charged attacks deal Falter.
Need sustained pressure on one target?
A slow, high Damage attack that can knock enemies down. Can be charged to do more damage. Charged attacks deal Falter.
Need heavier impact and Falter?
A form is not better or worse in isolation. Its value depends on your attack windows, your enemies and the rest of your build.
Judge forms on what they change in a fight, not on a fixed tier list.
More reach
Enders that trigger when your Primary attack sequence finishes.
A few quick strikes that deal Damage and large amounts of Falter.
Triggers after your Primary attack sequence
Launches enemies and applies Lifted. Hitting Lifted enemies recovers extra Power. Charge for more Damage and Falter.
Triggers after your Primary attack sequence
A powerful, wide attack that deals massive Damage and pushes enemies away.
Triggers after your Primary attack sequence
A continuous spin that deals Damage to all nearby enemies.
Triggers after your Primary attack sequence
An attack that becomes a circular blade that causes Damage and Falter for a short time.
Triggers after your Primary attack sequence
A short-range attack that becomes a blade that flies around Dylan for a short duration.
Triggers after your Primary attack sequence
Not every form is available from the start. More of the Aberrant opens as its progression system unlocks.
Forms and maneuvers are unlocked with Living Shards, and Aberrant upgrades use Aberrant Strength. Both come from progression, so keep exploring and clearing encounters.
Aberrant upgrades can be reset, so an early upgrade choice is not permanent.
Every Form has its own upgrade tree, and each tree changes how that Form plays.
Upgrades add Critical Chance, Damage, Falter, Power recovery and combo modifiers. They are the main reason two players can use the same Form and get different results.
Individual upgrade nodes are listed on each Form's page, in the order you can unlock them.
How upgrades affect Build PowerThe Aberrant is your melee core. Combat abilities cover what it cannot do.
Primary forms build Power through melee pressure, and combat abilities spend it.
Combo Finishers end the Primary sequence and can apply status before an ability follows up.
Charged Secondary attacks and heavy forms add Falter, opening enemies for abilities that need a staggered target.
Ability, Artifact and Talent pairings are tracked on build pages, where the whole loadout is checked together.
Browse combat abilitiesThere is no single best form. The best form is the one that solves the fight in front of you.
Playstyle, enemies and attack windows change the answer, so use the guide to compare forms by what you need rather than a fixed ranking.
