How Freeze Frame works

Every Camera is the same three problems: read the photo, reach the area, and arrive from the right side.

  1. Find the Instant Photos — picking one up is how the quest starts.
  2. Recognise the place the photo shows.
  3. Travel to that area and find the Camera.
  4. Work out a route that puts you behind it.
  5. Approach from behind and close the shutter.
  6. Repeat across all seven zones, then finish the Downtown sequence.
Do not approach from the front

Check the tripod head before you commit — the field of view faces the way the lens does.

You do not lose progress by leaving, and every Camera stays available after the story, so nothing here is missable.

Do not approach from the front

Every Camera watches a fixed field of view. Only the space behind it is safe.

Front approach

Dylan is frozen, the Camera vanishes, and you have to leave the area and wait for it to come back.

Behind

You can close the shutter and the Camera is contained.

Expected camera behavior

A Camera that spots you does not break your quest. It teleports away and will come back if you give it room.

  • Move away from the immediate area.
  • Wait for the Camera's click.
  • Return using a route behind it.

Some Cameras actually expect this: letting one see you first can be how you buy time to open a shortcut.

Downtown finale

Containing all 14 Cameras does not finish the quest. Zoe gets in touch and the last objective sends you back into Downtown for a continuous Camera sequence.
