Artifact
ArtifactLost Prescription
Lost Prescription is a survival Artifact that turns a Perfect Dodge into a chance to heal. After a Perfect Dodge it rolls a 30% chance to restore a small amount of Health, so its value follows how reliably you land that dodge timing rather than any passive stat.

Lost Prescription sits on the Perfect Dodge trigger: a successful roll restores Health directly. It is not a Health Element, so it does not feed pickup-based recovery.
What Lost Prescription Does
Lost Prescription is a chance-based proc Artifact. Every eligible Perfect Dodge rolls a 30% chance to restore a small amount of Health. It adds no damage and no passive regeneration, so its value depends on how often you create the trigger, which makes it a sustain option for dodge-heavy play rather than a flat healing bonus.
The exact heal amount, roll timing and any hidden cooldown stay unpublished until they are confirmed against the shipped game, so this page never converts "a small amount" into an invented number.
How the Perfect Dodge Heal Works
A chance roll on a Perfect Dodge, not a guaranteed heal.
The effect is a short chain. A Perfect Dodge creates the trigger, the Artifact rolls its proc chance, and only a successful roll restores Health. A failed roll does nothing, so more dodges mean more attempts rather than guaranteed healing.
- 1 · Perfect Dodge
The trigger is a Perfect Dodge, not any dodge. Avoiding an attack without hitting the Perfect Dodge window does not start the chain.
- 2 · 30% proc roll
Each eligible Perfect Dodge rolls a 30% chance on its own. The chance is per trigger, not a resource that builds up.
- 3 · Successful roll
A successful roll restores a small amount of Health directly. There is no pickup and no Health Element is created.
- 4 · Failed roll
A failed roll does nothing. The next Perfect Dodge rolls again, so the chance repeats instead of being spent up.
This is the core of the Artifact: the Perfect Dodge is guaranteed, the heal is not.
Proc Chance Is Not a Guarantee
30% per Perfect Dodge, not one heal every three dodges.
The 30% chance applies to each eligible Perfect Dodge on its own. Over many dodges the heal lands often, but any single dodge is more likely to fail than to heal. Expected value is useful for planning; it is not a schedule.
- Per-trigger chance
Each trigger rolls once at 30%. Ten Perfect Dodges are ten separate 30% rolls, not three guaranteed heals.
- Independent rolls
A failed roll is not banked. The next Perfect Dodge rolls again, and streaks of failures are normal at this chance.
- Trigger frequency
Real value comes from the number of triggers. Frequent, reliable Perfect Dodges give the proc more chances to fire than a rare, risky one.
- Hidden cooldown
Whether consecutive procs share an internal cooldown is not confirmed. Until it is, any expected-value math assumes no hidden cooldown.
Do not read "30%" as "roughly every third Perfect Dodge heals you". It is one independent roll each time.
Direct Heal, Not a Health Element
A different recovery source from pickup-based healing.
Lost Prescription restores Health by itself when its proc succeeds. That makes it a direct event recovery, separate from Health Elements, regeneration and lethal protection. Keeping those sources apart is what stops recovery Artifacts from being wrongly stacked together.
- Direct event recovery
The proc restores Health at the moment it succeeds. This is the recovery source Lost Prescription owns.
- Health Element
A pickup that restores Health when collected. Lost Prescription is not described as creating one, so it is not a Health Element generator.
- 1996 Commemorative Coin
The Coin makes Health Elements restore more Health. Because Lost Prescription is a direct heal, no interaction is assumed between them.
- Other event recovery
Other Artifacts also restore Health from an event, such as a shield break. They share the family but not the trigger.
Direct recovery and pickup recovery are different sources. Treating them as one is the most common mistake with this Artifact.

Perfect Dodge Synergies
One trigger, two different rewards.
Lost Prescription shares its trigger with Pickpocket's Tool. Both wait for a Perfect Dodge, but they consume it in parallel: Lost Prescription can restore Health, while Pickpocket's Tool makes the next Combat Ability free. The two never buff each other.
One Perfect Dodge, two payoffs
Lost Prescription: 30% chance to restore Health
Pickpocket's Tool: next Combat Ability costs no Power
Perfect Dodge · Shared trigger, separate outcomes
This is a shared-trigger synergy, not a chain. Equipping both does not make either one trigger the other.
Lost Prescription vs Other Recovery Artifacts
Four ways to get Health back, four different triggers.
Lost Prescription, the 1996 Commemorative Coin, Stellar Bracelet and Heart Monitor all help you survive, but each reacts to a different event. Reading them as interchangeable healing is what makes loadout choices worse.
| Dimension | Lost Prescription | 1996 Commemorative Coin | Stellar Bracelet | Heart Monitor |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Trigger | Perfect Dodge | Collecting a Health Element | Shield destroyed | Lethal damage |
| Outcome | Chance to restore Health | Health Elements restore more | Restore a small amount of Health | Prevent death and restore Health |
| Recovery source | Direct event heal | Health Element pickup | Direct event heal | Lethal emergency recovery |
| Reliability | Chance-based | Passive and always on | Guaranteed when the shield breaks | Guaranteed once, then breaks |
None of these replaces another. Lost Prescription is the reactive sustain option; the Coin scales pickups, Stellar Bracelet reacts to a shield break, and Heart Monitor is emergency protection.
Low-Health Interactions
Healing can push you out of a low-Health window.
Some Artifacts only work while your Health is low. A Lost Prescription proc can raise your Health above that threshold, which temporarily turns those Artifacts off. That is a tension to manage, not a reason to avoid either piece.
- Medical Alert Bands
Medical Alert Bands build more Falter while Health is low. A proc that lifts you above the threshold temporarily stops that bonus.
- Mother's Locket
Mother's Locket deals more damage while Health is low. Healing from a proc can shorten that window in the same way.
- How to think about it
A low-Health build still needs survivability. The trade-off is safety versus threshold uptime, not a reason to drop Lost Prescription.
These are threshold interactions, not confirmed numbers. A proc only matters when it actually fires, so the effect is occasional rather than constant.
Build Fit
Its value scales with your Perfect Dodge rate.
Lost Prescription is a skill- and chance-driven Artifact. It gives nothing unless you Perfect Dodge, so the useful question is not its raw effect but how often your build creates the trigger and how much Health pressure it relieves.
Lost Prescription is a good fit when
You land Perfect Dodges regularly
More reliable dodges mean more proc rolls and more chances to heal.
You want active sustain
It rewards defending well over standing in a passive regeneration effect.
You already use Pickpocket's Tool
Both Artifacts share the Perfect Dodge trigger, so one habit feeds two rewards.
Your build takes steady Health pressure
Repeated small heals help offset chip damage between fights.
It is less valuable when
You rarely Perfect Dodge
Without triggers the Artifact has almost no chances to fire.
Damage comes from persistent hazards
Ground effects and damage over time do not give clean Perfect Dodge windows.
You block or shield instead of dodging
A build that mitigates through blocking creates few Perfect Dodge triggers.
You need guaranteed protection
For emergency safety, a guaranteed effect like Heart Monitor is more dependable.
Consistency and RNG
A 30% proc is swingier than an always-on effect. Many trigger opportunities average out; a few triggers make it feel unreliable. Judge it by trigger frequency, not by one fight.
Boss and Encounter Fit
It is strongest where attacks are frequent and readable.
Lost Prescription cares about how many Perfect Dodge chances an encounter gives you, not how hard it is. Encounters with frequent, telegraphed attacks raise its value; long hazard phases lower it.
- Frequent, readable attacks
Repeated telegraphed attacks create steady Perfect Dodge windows, so the proc gets many rolls.
- Hazard-heavy fights
Persistent ground hazards and damage over time rarely offer a clean dodge window, so the trigger slows down.
- Boss encounters
Bosses with predictable combo patterns raise its value; sparse, arena-wide attacks lower it.
The right read is opportunity count, not difficulty. A hard fight with clean dodge windows can favor it more than an easy fight full of hazards.
Lost Prescription FAQ
- What does Lost Prescription do?
- After a Perfect Dodge it has a 30% chance to restore a small amount of Health. The heal only happens when the proc roll succeeds.
- Where do you get Lost Prescription?
- Buy the Untapped Lost Prescription from the Downtown Vendor for 1,000 Source, then form it at the Artifact Formation.
- Does it require Vendor Level III?
- No. Lost Prescription is available from the Downtown Vendor's starting inventory at Level I.
- Does every Perfect Dodge heal you?
- No. Each Perfect Dodge rolls a 30% chance, so a heal is never guaranteed and a failed roll does nothing.
- Does Lost Prescription create Health Elements?
- No. It restores Health directly; current descriptions do not identify it as spawning a Health Element.
- Does the 1996 Commemorative Coin increase the heal?
- No interaction should be assumed. The Coin improves Health Element recovery, and Lost Prescription is a direct heal rather than a Health Element.
- Is it good with Pickpocket's Tool?
- They pair naturally because both trigger on a Perfect Dodge: one can restore Health, the other makes the next Combat Ability free. They consume the same trigger in parallel and do not buff each other.
- Is it better than Heart Monitor?
- They do different jobs. Lost Prescription is ongoing, chance-based sustain; Heart Monitor is guaranteed emergency protection against a lethal hit.
