Ability Pressure

Keep Combat Abilities firing so enemies never get a clean turn.

Complexitymoderate
Durabilitylow
Core abilities
  • Barrage

Fires a stream of projectiles for safe ranged pressure.

Optional abilities

  • Push

Knocks enemies back into hazards, walls or off a ledge.

  • Volatile Anomaly

Summons a throwable anomaly that detonates on impact.

Weapon setup
  • StrikePrimary Form

A fast attack with a high Critical Chance.

  • DrillSecondary Form

A quick attack. Charge to continuously drill the target. Charged attacks deal Falter.

Artifact options

  • Whetstone

Melee attacks and Combat Abilities deal more damage.

  • Bout Guard

    Recover Power faster.

Artifact options reflect currently verified artifact data. Options without a verified source are not listed.

How it plays

Cycle your abilities, use the weapon only to fill gaps, and re-engage as soon as your core ability is back. This build rewards uptime far more than weapon damage.

Requirements
  • Two Combat Ability slots
  • Cooldown upgrades for your core ability
Strengths
  • Constant pressure from ability uptime
  • Handles groups without committing to melee
Tradeoffs
  • Falls off hard if you stop cycling abilities
  • Low durability while casting
Alternatives
  • Ranged Control

Take this instead when you want to pressure from a distance.

  • Endgame Hybrid

Take this instead when you want to survive longer fights.

Next step

Take this direction into the planner, or check how strong your current loadout already is.

Ranged Control·Endgame

Ranged Control

Hold the space you want and make every enemy come to you on your terms.

Complexitymoderate
Durabilitylow
Core abilities
  • Barrage

Fires a stream of projectiles for safe ranged pressure.

Optional abilities

  • Spore Burst

Fires rapid Mold projectiles that apply Infected.

  • Ground Slam

Drops from the air for area damage that grows with height.

Weapon setup
  • GlaivePrimary Form

A wide attack that can hit multiple enemies at once and push them away.

  • ExtendSecondary Form

A long range attack that may hit multiple enemies. Charge for Falter and extra Damage – a perfect charge deals more.

Artifact options

  • Pickpocket's Tool

After a Perfect Dodge, use a Combat Ability for free.

  • Bout Guard

    Recover Power faster.

Artifact options reflect currently verified artifact data. Options without a verified source are not listed.

How it plays

Keep distance, control the approach, and punish enemies with abilities while they close in. The weapon form only matters once something gets too close.

Requirements
  • A long-range weapon form
  • Ability upgrades before it feels smooth
Strengths
  • Controls spacing instead of trading hits
  • Safe against heavy melee enemies
Tradeoffs
  • Struggles against enemies that close fast
  • Needs open space to work

High Falter·Endgame

High Falter

Break enemy posture and turn every stagger into a burst window.

Complexitymoderate
Durabilitymoderate
Core abilities
  • Shield

Raises a barrier and adds Shield Bash to close the gap and stagger.

  • Ground Slam

Drops from the air for area damage that grows with height.

Optional abilities

  • Push

Knocks enemies back into hazards, walls or off a ledge.

Weapon setup
  • CleavePrimary Form

A balanced attack that does extra Damage when performed from the back.

  • CrushSecondary Form

A slow, high Damage attack that can knock enemies down. Can be charged to do more damage. Charged attacks deal Falter.

Artifact options

  • Practice Knot

Attacks on Heavy enemies build more Falter.

  • Medical Alert Bands

All attacks build more Falter while your Health is low.

Artifact options reflect currently verified artifact data. Options without a verified source are not listed.

How it plays

Build Falter with your weapon and abilities, then commit to the stagger with your strongest hit. This build is about timing one window, not constant pressure.

Requirements
  • Upgrades for whichever abilities build Falter
  • A weapon form that fits your close-range timing
Strengths
  • Very strong burst after a stagger
  • Breaks dangerous enemies out of their rhythm
Tradeoffs
  • Weaker between Falter windows
  • Depends on actually landing the window

Open with your defensive tool, control the fight with abilities, and switch to weapon pressure when the enemy staggers. It expects you to read the fight and change roles mid-encounter.

Requirements
  • The full ability set from the Resonant you chose
  • Endgame artifact upgrades you are willing to commit to
Strengths
  • Handles long New Game+ encounters
  • Covers both burst and survival
Tradeoffs
  • Needs several upgrades before it comes together
  • High demand on ability and artifact choice
Alternatives
  • High Falter

Take this instead when you want Falter to be the whole plan.

  • Ability Pressure

Take this instead when you want a simpler pressure build.

Next step

New Game++ guide

Build Power

Understand the indicator the game uses to summarise loadout strength before you plan upgrades around it.

What is Build Power?

Build Power is a game-facing indicator that summarises how strong and complete your current loadout is in context. It is not a damage number: enemy level, upgrades and the abilities you picked all change how it reads.

Exact Build Power values are not calculated on this page. Use the checker for your own loadout.
