Can't Eat the Mold in CONTROL Resonant?

Game Update 1.4.0 introduced an issue that could make the required Mold interactions impossible. Remedy says Hotfix 1.4.1 fixes that regression.

Why can't I eat the Mold in CONTROL Resonant?

Game Update 1.4.0 introduced a confirmed progression regression that could make the required Mold interaction in The Park Resonant unusable. Remedy officially states this is fixed in Hotfix 1.4.1.

Is the Mold bug fixed?

The official status is fixed in 1.4.1. Some post-hotfix community reports still mention missing prompts on older or affected saves, so keep diagnosing and escalate to Remedy if you are still stuck.

Why can't I eat the Pizzeria Mold?

If the Pizzeria still has persistent yellow hazard damage and no prompt, an observed workaround is to attack the exterior windows until the hazard stops, then retry the Mold. This is a third-party workaround, not an official 1.4.1 instruction.

Why can't I eat the Gym Mold?

First confirm you are on 1.4.1 or later, you are in the correct Gym objective area, and the required enemies are cleared. There is no separate official Gym fix; if there is still no prompt, work through the safe recovery steps and report it.

Do the three Mold locations need to be done in order?

No. Pizzeria, Minimart and Gym can be completed in any order.
