Central → The Park Checkpoint → The Park. Open the full zone guide for the route, enemies and map context instead of repeating it here.
Find the Mold at the “New Mold strains?” point in central The Park and interact with it.
Three objective strains plus the starting Mold that triggers the quest. Each card gives the area, the route and the common blocker.
If nothing happens, make sure you are on Update 1.4.1 or later before anything else.
The interaction prompt can be missing here while yellow fog is damaging you. Leave the area until the damage status stops, then come back and interact.
Complete all three Mold-strain objectives, then return to the original Mold area.

Unable to eat any Mold. Update 1.4.0 broke the Mold interaction across the quest and 1.4.1 fixed it.
