ArtifactWorn Eraser
Worn Eraser is a passive defensive Artifact: it increases resistance to all negative status effects by making them take longer to build up. It delays statuses — it does not grant immunity.

The core idea is buildup, not damage: the same status attack fills the meter more slowly, so the status takes longer to activate.
Worn Eraser Overview
Worn Eraser is a passive status-defense Artifact, active the entire time it is equipped. It raises resistance to every negative status effect by slowing how quickly those statuses build up on you. It is not a heal, a shield or a damage cut: it changes how fast a negative status accumulates, so you have more time before it activates.
Worn Eraser is a defensive utility pick. It does not add damage or Power; it buys time against status-heavy encounters.
What Does Worn Eraser Do?
One passive modifier on negative-status buildup.
The Artifact increases resistance to all negative status effects. Resistance means the buildup of those statuses is slower, so it takes longer for an enemy attack or hazard to fill the meter that activates the status. Nothing about the status itself changes once it is active.
- 1 · Negative status resistance
Raise resistance to negative status effects, the layer that decides how fast a status builds on you.
- 2 · Buildup becomes slower
The same status attack fills the buildup meter more slowly, so the status takes longer to trigger.
- 3 · All negative statuses
The scope is every negative status effect, not one specific status such as Burn or Infected.
- 4 · Always on while equipped
The effect is passive and lasts the whole time the Artifact is equipped. There is no activation to time.
How the modifier is implemented — additive or multiplicative, and its exact value — is confirmed against the shipped game before any number is published.
How Status Resistance Works
Buildup resistance is not damage reduction.
A negative status has stages: a source applies buildup, the buildup reaches a threshold, and only then does the status activate. Worn Eraser works on the middle stage. It slows the buildup, so the threshold is reached later — it does not change what happens after the status is active.
The status attack fills the buildup meter at its normal rate and reaches the threshold sooner.
The same status attack fills the meter more slowly, so the status takes longer to activate.
Worn Eraser delays negative-status buildup. It does not automatically mean immunity, a shorter status duration, or reduced damage once the status is active.
What Counts as a Negative Status
Worn Eraser does not affect every "bad" thing.
Not everything that hurts you is a status effect. Worn Eraser is scoped to negative statuses, so it is worth separating those from environmental hazards, raw damage, control effects and boss-specific mechanics.
- Negative status effects
Burn, Infected and other verified negative statuses build up more slowly. This is the layer Worn Eraser targets.
- Environmental hazards
Hazard damage is handled by Environmental Hazard resistance, not by status buildup resistance.
- Direct and Void damage
Raw damage is not a buildup status, so Worn Eraser does not reduce it.
- Control effects
Knockback, launch and similar control effects are not confirmed as buildup statuses.
- Boss-specific mechanics
A boss bar that looks like a status meter is not proof. These interactions stay unknown until a status relation is verified.
The website only maps Worn Eraser to verified negative statuses. It does not treat "all negative effects" as a single bucket.
Status Matchups
What resistance changes for each status.
The scope is all negative statuses, but each status is confirmed in the database before the page claims an interaction. These are the statuses worth checking first.
| Status | Resistance changes |
|---|---|
| Burn | Takes longer to build up. Damage after Burn is active is not verified to be reduced. |
| Infected | Takes longer to build up while Infected counts as a normal negative status. |
| Other negative statuses | Covered in principle by the all-negative scope; each status is confirmed against the shipped game before it is claimed. |
A status that is not verified as a negative status is left as unknown rather than assumed to be affected.
Worn Eraser vs Face Mask and Lighter
One broad resistance slot against specialized ones.
Worn Eraser, Face Mask and Lighter all slow status buildup, but they cover different scopes. Worn Eraser covers every negative status; Face Mask and Lighter focus on a single status each. When you face one dominant status, a focused Artifact can be the better fit — but only verified values can say which is stronger.
| Aspect | Worn Eraser | Face Mask | Lighter |
|---|---|---|---|
| Scope | All negative statuses | Infected | Burn |
| Target | Status buildup rate | Infected buildup | Burn buildup |
| Strength | Broad coverage | Exact values gated | Exact values gated |
| Best for | Mixed-status encounters | Infected-heavy encounters | Burn-heavy encounters |
Face Mask and Lighter are narrower, status-specific resistances. Whether a specialized Artifact is stronger for its own status depends on verified values, so no "better" claim is published here.
Build Synergies and Conflicts
Prevention is not always a free win.
Worn Eraser reduces incoming status pressure, which usually helps. It can also work against a build that wants to be Burned or Infected on purpose, because slower buildup delays reaching that state. Treat it as a trade, not a universal upgrade.
One broad resistance slot
When you do not know which status an area emphasizes, a single all-negative slot covers more of the encounter.
Conflict with status-triggered effects
Some effects want you to be Infected or Burned. Slower buildup delays reaching that state, so Worn Eraser can work against such a setup.
Layer with recovery
Pairing prevention with recovery keeps pressure low before and after a status lands.
Whether a specific synergy or conflict exists depends on the other Artifact's exact wording. This page describes the relationship instead of assuming it.
Where Worn Eraser Sits in Your Defense
Different survival layers solve different problems.
Survival Artifacts are easy to mix up because they all keep you alive. Separating them by the problem they solve shows where Worn Eraser belongs: it prevents a status from building up, rather than healing you or saving you from a lethal hit.
- Resource safety
Keeps a resource from dropping below a floor so a cast can still happen.
- Recovery
Restores Health faster after damage is already taken.
- Lethal protection
Saves you from a lethal event rather than reducing pressure beforehand.
- Status prevention
Delays negative-status buildup so the status is reached less often. That is Worn Eraser.
Worn Eraser is prevention, not recovery or lethal protection. It does not replace a healing or a death-prevention Artifact.
Enemy and Boss Matchups
Value tracks the encounter's status load.
Worn Eraser has no fixed tier. Its value rises in encounters that apply several negative statuses and falls in encounters that apply none. The enemy database, once it records inflicted statuses, is what turns this from a rule of thumb into a per-encounter answer.
- Several status-applying enemies
The more different statuses an encounter applies, the more a broad resistance slot contributes.
- No verified negative status
If an enemy applies no verified negative status, Worn Eraser has little to delay.
- One dominant status
With a single dominant status, a specialized resistance Artifact may be the more focused choice.
- Boss-specific mechanics
Boss status interactions stay unknown until the status relation is verified; do not assume a meter is affected.
Boss status thresholds and hidden interaction rules are gated. This page describes the decision logic, not a hidden number.
How to Get Worn Eraser
A main-quest reward, then an Artifact Formation craft.
You do not find a finished Worn Eraser in the world. You progress Fight to the Core, defeat the Hedron, receive the Untapped Worn Eraser and then craft it at the Artifact Formation.
- 1 · Progress Fight to the Core
Advance the main quest until the Hedron encounter is available.
- 2 · Defeat the Hedron
Clear the Hedron fight. It rewards the Untapped Artifact.

Is Worn Eraser Worth It?
Strong for mixed-status defense, lower value with no status threat.
Worn Eraser is worth a slot when negative statuses are actually disrupting your fights. It is the wrong pick when nothing threatens to apply a status, or when you want a status to land on purpose.
Good fit when
Several statuses threaten you
A broad resistance slot covers a mixed-status encounter better than a single-status Artifact.
You keep reaching status thresholds
If Burn or Infected keeps activating and breaking your combat loop, slower buildup gives you room to react.
You want one broad slot
One Artifact that resists every negative status saves guesswork versus switching specialized resistances.
You do not know the area's status
When you have not scouted which status a region emphasizes, general protection is the safer default.
Lower value when
The encounter has no real status threat
If nothing applies a negative status, the slot does little and another Artifact would contribute more.
Raw or environmental damage is the threat
Worn Eraser does not reduce direct damage or hazard damage, so it does not answer those problems.
You want to be Burned or Infected
Slower buildup delays reaching a status that another effect wants to exploit, so it can work against such a build.
A specialized Artifact is verified stronger
If the only status you face has a specialized resistance Artifact confirmed to be substantially stronger, the broad option loses its edge. This depends on verified values.
Worn Eraser FAQ
- What does Worn Eraser do?
- It increases resistance to negative status effects by making them take longer to build up.
- How do you get Worn Eraser?
- Defeat the Hedron during Fight to the Core to receive the Untapped Worn Eraser, then craft it at the Artifact Formation.
- Does Worn Eraser make you immune to status effects?
- No. It raises buildup resistance, which is not immunity. A status can still activate if enough buildup is applied.
- Does it reduce Burn damage?
- Its verified effect concerns status buildup. Reduced damage after Burn becomes active should not be assumed.
- Does it work against Infected?
- If Infected is a normal negative status in the database, yes — it takes longer to build up. The page reads that from the status registry rather than hardcoding it.
- Is it better than Face Mask?
- Worn Eraser is broad resistance; Face Mask is tied specifically to Infected buildup. Exact strength comparisons need verified modifier values.
- Is it better than Lighter?
- Again, broad versus specialized. Worn Eraser covers all negative statuses; Lighter targets Burn specifically. Which wins depends on the encounter and verified values.
